The University of Salamanca.

Imagen
   3. The university, the cradle of history in Salamanca. This is the most important monument in Salamanca. If you go there, probably most of the souvenir shops will have many t-shirts, sweaters and magnets with the symbol of the university.  Most of the Spanish people will know the importance of this place to the history of Spain, but if you don’t know it; the university of Salamanca was where mostly of the most famous writers and poets of Spain studied. When I visited the university, I felt like an old Spanish poet of the XVII century, like Luis de Góngora. You can see many rooms that were the classrooms of that time, the uniforms that they used and their advances in science and literature. If you enjoy learning about biology, or if you like cartography, or if you like literature. You will like this place as much as me, I promise. Gallego, F. (2018, November 23). Garden of Calisto y Melibea.

  2.  The Garden of Calisto y Melibea. This part of the trip was my favorite, because I love classic literature and if you love it too, probably you know what I’m referring to. The Garden of Calisto y Melibea is based on the book “La Celestina”, an important one in Spanish literature. You can see many flowers (you know it is a garden) and climbing plants that covered many arches of this place, and you could see all the city on an ace balcony.  But the thing that I loved the most was the vibe and how I felt there. I saw many groups of college students talking and passing the time there; this fact plus the sunset and the place, made my day. This place was: Angelic . I recommend this place, honestly. If you go with some friends to Salamanca, the garden of Calisto y Melibea is a good option for chilling with them one afternoon. Durán, D. (2018, July 14). Cathedral of Salamanca.

Imagen
  1.   The Cathedral of Salamanca, a scam. The fun fact of this cathedral is that if you’re talking about two churches joined together, when you’re referring to this monument. The old church dated the XIII-XIV century, with a Romanesque style; and the new one dated the XVI century, with Baroque and Gothic style. Honestly, when I saw this cathedral outside, I thought that it would be gorgeous inside; but when I entered all those expectatives blurred. I paid 10 euros for a guide visit, and I never had thought how bad it would be. The guide was my phone, and you could hear the other people's phones. The guide in my opinion didn´t worthwhile. The part that I most liked it were the organ of the new church (I put a photo 😉) The inside of the cathedral was gorgeous, I loved it. But not for 10 euros. I backed the wrong horse, honestly.

And actually, people from many different countries come to Salamanca to complete their degrees. So after this introduction, I will explain the different points of this trip: 1.   The cathedral of Salamanca, a scam. 2.   Garden of Calisto and Melibea. 3.   Unamuno 's house, the home of the literature and the history. 4.   The university, the cradle of history in Salamanca.
